The Amur State University is one of the youngest and most perspective Universities in the Far Eastern Region. The Amur State University is growing fast. It was founded on March 20, 1975 as Blagoveshchensk Institute of Technology (BIT). In 1992 the institute of higher education was transformed into Blagoveshchensk Polytechnic Institute (BPI).
On October 19, 1994 as on the State Committee of the Russian Federation for Higher Education order BPI earned the status of the Amur State University (AmSU). It took less then 20 years for small technological Institute to become a classical university. Today the Amur State University is a center of education, science and culture of the Amur Region.
Classical university means that its' alumni can work in all spheres without exception from economics and science to education, management and culture.
