The IAP is a nationally recognized private university in the Principality of Liechtenstein. Your teaching languages are German, English and Spanish. It was founded in 1986 in the Principality of Liechtenstein. From 2008 to 2012 only research has been conducted on the IAP, there was no teaching in Liechtenstein place. Since 2013 is doctoral studies offered. In addition, the IAP offers seminars and individual lessons, the students themselves can be credited at other universities thanks to the "European Credit Transfer System" (ECTS). Doctoral studies and individual tutorials can also be partially completed by distance learning.
A partner of the IAP Liechtenstein is the Academia Internacional de Filosofía - Instituto Filosofía of Edith Stein in Granada. It uses the same academic regulations.
The IAP is a member association of the International Lake Constance University , are among the 29 universities in neighboring Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Liechtenstein. Students and researchers of member universities can use libraries, cafeterias, student promotions and the other member universities, such as University of Konstanz and University of Zurich.
The IAP has the following governing bodies: the Board of Trustees, University Council (it has the function of a scientific advisory board, monitors the quality of teaching and research and has a say in the decision of the trial orders and the appointment of lecturers), and each campus has a director.
